2008 Coastal Comeback: Louisiana & Mississippi After Katrina.
In Louisiana, more than 500,000 homes were damaged, with more than 100,000 mostly or completely destroyed. In Mississippi, over 200,000 homes were damaged, with over 15,000 heavily damaged or destroyed. In the three years since the storm, more than one hundred billion dollars has been committed or dispersed to aid in the recovery.
“Coastal Comeback” takes viewers to two of the areas hardest hit by Katrina – Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana.
What are the tough questions you want to ask of our panelists, who are top experts in the fields of housing, economic development and the government’s response during the recovery?

I want to thank you for the town hall meeting in Bay St. Louis and hearing our concerns.
I thought Beth Courtney did an excellent job in faciilating the discussion! She should do more of this!
Kudos Beth and LPB for a great job! I can only wonder why the Mayor of Bay St. Louis was not included? Also, it was too bad that there was not an opportunity to pan around the city and see the progress that has been made – the Depot area, Main St., etc.
